Step.2 On the opening Accompaniment Guide you will be able to customize your background music by clicks. You can choose a musical emotion, BPM (beat per minute) and beat type for your background music. For presentations, a soothing and soft background would be better. So let’s choose “Peaceful” as the musical emotion and BPM 78 in beat 4/4 type. Bass and drum will be too noisy in a piece of presentation background music, so that I will delete bass and drum in Instrument selection. Background music should have a pure rhythm through out the presentation, so that I will delete the intro and outro parts in Structure selection. After that, press button [Auto composition] to make the background music for presentation.

Step.3 Now we can preview the background music we have just made. If you dislike the background music, you can simply regenerate one by clicking on the refresh button on beginning of each audio track. To me, I dislike the organ sound in my presentation. I clicked the organ’s icon in audio track and change it to piano easily. After several attempts, we finally got the beautiful background music for presentation.

Step.4 Export the background music for making presentation. I’d prefer SF2 as the sound source and WAV for further editing. Now please listen to the background music I have just made!

When you have installed the trial version of AthTek DigiBand to your computer, start it and click on button “Make a song”, then you will see the Composition Guide window. In this window, you will see the emotion drop down menu on top left corner. Simply choose the music emotion you want and click button Auto Composition, you will get the piece of music in your selected emotion immediately. If you don’t like the created music, you can simply redo it all over again to create another emotional music.

When you change the music emotion, the BPM (beat per minute) and chords will change synchronously. But the beat, instruments and structure won’t change synchronously. You can change them manually if you want to try a different music style. Different music emotions produce different emotional music. AthTek DigiBand can definitely help with any emotional music composition in your way.

Step.2 Open AthTek DigiBand and select [Accompany your humming] at the start page. The program will ask you to record the main melody of your song. Just sing your lyrics to AthTek DigiBand. Please note that you can change the BPM (Beat Per Minute) in your way. If you failed to match the lyrics to the beats, you can try again until everything is OK.

Step.3 Click OK to complete the recording, then you will see the accompaniment panel for you to write a song automatically. You can choose the Key, Scale, Emotion and Genre for your song. When everything is OK, click [Recognize Chord] to generate chords for your song. Then click [Auto Accompaniment] to generate a song automatically.

Step.4 Listen to the song you have just generated. If it was what you want, export the music as midi or wave file to your computer. You can also perform fine adjustment to the music in audio track each.

Step.5 Redo the above steps to generate different songs with the same lyrics. You have rewritten songs with the same lyrics! Quite easy, isn’t it? Please note that, if the music you created is not so dulcet, you can click the refresh button to generate a new one at once.

Step.1 Think about what you want to write about.
Before getting started to write the song, you need to think about what music emotion do you want, dysphoric, sad or happy. It usually depends on what is the music used for. Step.2 Write a song in seconds!
Yes, in Step.2 we start to write a song! Open AthTek DigiBand and choose “Make a song”, you will be asked to select what you have thought in Step 1. You can flexibly choose what music emotion you like, and genre, instrument, beat and music structure. When you finish the selections, please click “Auto composition” button to generate the music.

Step.3 Optimize the music composition.
You already have wrote a song in seconds, but sometimes you are not satisfied with the music. You need to optimize the music before exporting it as a music product. Fortunately, AthTek DigiBand supports to edit the music composition directly on the music tracks. You can refresh the track to change the entire rhythm or even to delete/add tracks to the music. You can also modify the options (music emotion, genre, instruments, etc.) to change the sound effects. When you are satisfied with your music, you can now export it as a music product.

Step.4 Listen to your music and create the lyrics.
The lyrics could be a story, feelings or just your imaginations. Make sure the lyrics can match your music rhythms. Sing each line as your write it down making sure it has the right amount of syllables. You don’t always have to rhyme but some here and there sound good, as long as your rhymes make sense and don’t sound like you only put them there because you couldn’t think of anything better that rhymed. Repeating a stanza a few times can be nice and it helps people recognize your song faster and be able to sing it. ¹

Step.5 Sing and record the song you have wrote.
OK, you have created music, you have wrote the lyrics. Now you need to attach the lyrics to the music to be a complete song. You can setup an audio recorder and a microphone on your computer, and play the music to record your singing. Till now, you have already wrote a song with your effort. It would be much easier and quicker than any other ways we can used before!
