If you are purchasing a PC-License, you will be asked to input the Machine Code to generate a license key. PC-License will be associated to a specific computer and enables user to use Voice Changer for Skype with any Skype accounts on the computer. If you have multiple Skype accounts but an only computer, PC-License would be exactly the one you should choose. Machine Code is an exclusive serial code of your computer and you can also find it on the authorization window.

But if you have multiple Skype accounts and multiple computers to use, which license type should you choose? ID-License will be the recommended choice. Do you know that you can rewrite or turn off the auto notification in AthTek Skype Recorder? In this article, you will read how to manage the auto notification easily. Now please open AthTek Skype Recorder and go to [Tools] > [Options…] > [Advanced]. You will be able to rewrite or turn off the auto notification in “Notify The Contact” area.

1. How to rewrite the auto notification message.
You can rewrite the contact in auto notification area directly as you wish. For example, you can rewrite it as “Hello, I am XXX. I’d like to have a Skype call with you now. If you are not free to answer my call, please hang up directly. Thanks.” After then, please click button OK to save your customized message.

2. Turn off the auto notification message.
You can also turn off the automatic notification message if you don’t want to send any message to the contact. Simply deselect option of “Notify The Contact” and the notification message won’t be sent out any more. But please note that, only a licensed version supports to turn off the automatic notification message and save the settings.

How to downgrade Skype to V6.21?

Step.1 Uninstall Skype v6.22. Please go to [Start] > [Control Panel] > [Programs and Features]. Find Skype v6.22 and select to uninstall.

Step.2 Download and install Skype 6.21. Please click to download Skype v6.21 and install it to your computer.

Step.3 Run AthTek Skype Recorder or Skype Voice Changer and you will be able to use any of them on Skype 6.21 without problem.

If Skype still cannot find AthTek Skype Recorder or Voice Changer for Skype on your computer, please quit all these programs and restart them as administrator. How to start a program as administrator? Right click on the program’s startup file (*.exe) and choose “Run as administrator”. Generally, if you run Skype as administrator, all problems will be solved.

Now please install Reinstall DirectX EZ to your computer. You can download the latest version at its official downloading page. Open it and click DXdiag or DXdiag X64 (if 64-bit system) to diagnose DirectX program of your system. If no error was found, please go to Repair tab and select Compatible Mode. Now please insert the original system setup disk to your CD-ROM. If you don’t have that or you have lost your system setup disk, please contact us and we will make a package for you. Press Next to choose the [sources] folder in your system setup disk. Reinstall DirectX EZ will match your current DirectX program with the original one in your system setup disk. If there were DirectX errors, Reinstall DirectX EZ will fix it immediately. During DirectX repair, you should cut off the internet connecting.

When DirectX repair is over, you can run NFS Rivals for a try. Most DirectX error will get fixed by then. If DirectX error still exists, you should reinstall the latest version DirectX to your system. Open Reinstall DirectX EZ and click to access General tab. Click on link ‘Get New Updates’ to open the official DirectX downloading page of Microsoft and download the latest version to your computer. After you have downloaded the file, please cut off the internet connection and restart Reinstall DirectX EZ. Click to access Reinstall tab of Reinstall DirectX EZ and then press Next to find the DXSETUP.exe you have just downloaded. Follow the instruction to install the latest version of DirectX to your system, and then 100% DirectX errors will be solved!

I highly recommend you to make a backup once DirectX error fixed. If DirectX error reappeared on your computer, you could effortlessly solve DirectX problems by DirectX restore. No system original setup disk is required anymore. This is why we say that Reinstall DirectX EZ is the final solution to any DirectX error while playing NFS Rivals.

After you have got everything prepared, click to access the Repair tab on Reinstall DirectX EZ. There are 2 options to repair DirectX immediately. I will recommend you to choose the  Compatible Mode one. When you are ready, press Next to choose the [sources] folder in your system setup CD. 1. How to delete the component?
Click the drop-down arrow and you will see the delete option. For example, you want to delete the option of Top IP Hosts. You can click the drop-down arrow of Top IP Hosts component and choose Delete option, and then the component will be deleted from monitor interface. Particularly, you can also switch the graph from pie chart to host list.

2. How to add a new component to monitor interface?

When you have bought an ID-License or PC-License, you can input the license key to the authorization window to activate a full version. First of all, you need to install AthTek Skype Recorder to your computer. Run Skype, then you will be asked to allow the recorder’s access to Skype.

Then your Skype recorder will be connected to Skype. You would be able to see your Skype name on top left of AthTek Skype Recorder. Click the [Register] link on top right corner and you will access the authorization window of AthTek Skype Recorder.

In the authorization window, please input the license key to the key field and click [Register] button to license your AthTek Skype Recorder. Please note that there should be no blank space existing in the key field, otherwise you cannot register AthTek Skype Recorder successfully.

Frequently Asked Questions (1-4):

1. Where can I find the registration/authorization window?
Authorization window is not a web page which you can open up in a browser. When you have got Skype connected to the recorder, you would be able to access the authorization window by clicking the [Register] link on top right corner of AthTek Skype Recorder.

2. AthTek Skype Recorder doesn’t accept my license key, why?
Please check the following items:
a. Your Skype ID is exactly the same as you input when you generated the license key.
b. There was no blank space existing in the key field when you clicked the Register button.
If there was no problem about these items, please capture a snapshot of the authorization window and send it to support@athtek.com me for further troubleshooting.

3. I cannot get the recorder connected to Skype anyway, how?
Please do as follow to get Skype recognize the recorder:
a. Completely quit both Skype and recorder on your computer.
b. Go to the installation folder of Skype (default path: C:\Program Files\Skype\) and right click on Skype.exe, select [Run as administrator].
c. Right click on AthTek Skype Recorder’s icon and select [Run as administrator] to run it.
Within 20 seconds, Skype should be able to find AthTek Skype Recorder.

4. I can’t find Skype.exe in my computer, why?
This is mainly because you are using an integrated version Skype on the computer. Please download and install a desktop version Skype, then the problem will be solved. You can download Skype v6.8 directly here for free.
